Aside from the nature at which you had to post it, it really was a sweet story. It was obvious how much you loved her. I’m sorry for your loss. There are not many inanimate objects in my life I can hold on to for 14 years, more or less something that is an actual living, breathing being that I need to take care of. Seriously though, I think more of my bummed-out-ness derived from the Louie. And, the beers. Oh yeah, and the Cheez-Its. Forgot about the Cheez-Its.

Awww, I’m sorry to have bummed you out so close to your birthday. Have a happy 30th! Don’t think about my cat; she lived a very long (14-year!) life and as several commenters have pointed out, she got to live with a family her whole life, which is more than lot of cats get to experience.

Conservatism does not equal stupid. Politicians can act stupid, but ideologies shouldn’t be labeled as such.

There’s no conservatism in Germany because it’s borders socialist (and not in a “ooooh those commie socialists are coming after us” kinda way…). Healthcare is free in Germany, and the government doesn’t balk at having to support alcoholics, drug users, the disabled and lazy through welfare. People earn less money, have more time off and are mandated to give more to their neighbors. But income taxes are more than double and so is sales tax, and capitalism is almost non-existent.

To say conservatism is stupid is ignorant and imprecise.

Some conservatives are stupid. And so are some liberals.

Thanks Janice. Should have more to come and to be honest I felt I could do a better job with the audio quality. I just threw it together relatively quickly. So keep checking back. And yes, we really do need to do lunch soon. I’d love to go spend a whole day in Austin on a Saturday soon, so maybe we could meet up. Thanks again for listening.

Great job! We still need to have our lunch/coffee/drink one of these days. This sounded so good I may seek your advice on my home “studio” (I can only laugh when I say that right now). I especially enjoyed the Decemberists. You’ve made me seek out more of their music.
